Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Nork Marash district
During his working visit to Nork Marash administrative district Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the new chess school being constructed here and watched the process of implementation. The Mayor was reported that the area of the school N 157 which hadn't been used for years is being overhauled and adapted for a chess school to provide free chess trainings for children. Within the frames of the program all the chess schools of the capital are being furnished with appropriate equipment and necessary appliances.
“As we have promised, this year we are going to finish the program of chess schools construction in the capital, and as a result convenient chess schools will be provided in all 12 administrative districts. The program is still going on in Nork Marash and Kanaker Zeytun districts and it will be over by the end of the year. Due to this program initiated in 2013 about 4000 children have the opportunity to get free chess classes”, said the Mayor
During the visit Yerevan Mayor was presented the process of construction of the road leading from Nor Nork 7th street to 5th street. The problem of construction of the new road segment passing by the kindergarten N 123 was raised by the residents during one of Yerevan Mayor's previous working visits. The work was included in Yerevan Municipality program of 2016 and now is being carried out. Expressing gratitude for solving the problem the director of the kindergarten noted that up to that moment the kindergarten yard served as the road leading from 7th street to 5th street which created inconveniences for the children. Taking the opportunity the pupils' parents said that the consistent work of the city authorities is noticeable in all directions.
Accompanied by the head of the district Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the area of the kindergarten N 122 where a recreation zone is being constructed for Nork Marash residents. The small square will be provided with benches and children's playgrounds.
“Nork Marash is the administrative district mainly occupied by private houses and it's rather difficult to separate an area to improve it and turn it into a recreation zone of the district as we have in other districts. From this point of view it's very important that such an area has been separated here and I am sure it will become a popular recreation zone with the local residents” said the Mayor.
