For decades, residents of the "Haghtanak" quarters of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district have not been able to obtain property rights to the land plots granted to them in the 1990s.
Yerevan Municipality has transfered the solution to the problem to the practical stage. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan met with residents of the quarter to discuss the issues related to the process. At one time, residents received these plots on the basis of a title deed, but then, due to changes in legislation, it became necessary to replace it with a property ownership certifiate.
It should be noted that over the past three years, about 60 mayor's decrees have been issued on land title deeds.
