Mayor Tigran Avinyan Discusses Yerevan’s Urban Development Programs with Developers
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan met with members of the Union of Builders of Armenia and the Armenian Association of Developers NGO. During the meeting, the Mayor presented major urban investment programs and outlined the progress of initiatives across various sectors of the city’s economy. Emphasizing the significant role of developers in Yerevan’s growth, Tigran Avinyan noted that the fees they pay serve as an important financial source for bringing numerous city programs to life.
During the meeting, participants discussed various projects, ranging from the renovation of districts and the construction of residential complexes to comprehensive urban development initiatives. Development companies for these initiatives will be selected through tenders to be announced in the near future. As for the challenges in the sector, Mayor Avinyan emphasized that the municipality is taking steps to regulate and improve construction processes.
Highlighting the importance of continued dialogue with the municipality, representatives of development companies outlined the existing challenges and presented their proposals. They noted that such meetings foster more effective cooperation for implementing joint programs.
