The final package of documentation for the installation of the new transport system in Yerevan is being worked out. During the regular working meeting Mayor Hayk Marutyan instructed to organize the activities maximally fast and effectively. The package will be submitted to the Government to attract loan resources.
Besides the organization of waste removal the Municipality is also displeased with general cleanness in the city.
“Has anything changed since the time “Sanitek” was engaged in providing cleanness in the capital? The capital faces serious problems with cleanness. If it is necessary to give the employees a pay rise or involve new employees, do it. It is vital to provide cleanness in the city”, stressed the Mayor of Yerevan.
According to the representative of ‘Sanitek” company, the problems with sanitary cleaning are connected with building trucks which make the streets dirty while replacing building materials. The Mayor instructed to take measures jointly with the Road Police and to fine the drivers.
As regards procurement process the Mayor was reported that as a result of the tenders carried out up today, AMD 1 milliard 255 million was saved.
At the end of the working conference Mayor Hayk Marutyan expressed gratitude to the employees of the Municipality, of the administrative districts and municipal subdivisions for the organization and holding of the events dedicated to April 24 and Citizen’s Day.
