The issues related to the implementation of the program of the “Old Yerevan” historical and architectural environment were discussed during the working meeting headed by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan.

The board of the Urban Development State Committee adjunct to the RA Government, the author of the project Levon Vardanyan, other officials took part in the meeting.

The participants discussed the issues related to the development of the full set of complex construction of “Old Yerevan” project and its perspective confirmation.
The ‘Old Yerevan” historical and architectural environment is to be realized in the area of Main avenue, in the quarter with the surface of 2.2 hectares surrounded by Abovyan, P.Buzand, E. Koghbatsi and Aram streets. The main fund of the historical constructions involves residential houses of the 19th and early 20th centuries with attached courtyards and gardens.
