The reforms to be made in the sphere of non-formal education in community-owned youth creativity centres, the challenges the sphere is facing and new solutions were discussed during the meeting of Yerevan Deputy Mayor Gayane Melkom Melkomyan and the President of the European Association of Institutions of Non-Formal Education of Children and Youth Mr Valdas Jankauskas.

The head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism, members of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, directors of youth creativity centres were present at the meeting as well.
Presenting the international experience Mr Janskauskas noted that all reforms are to be aimed at more effective education and involvement of more children. The parties exchanged thoughts and agreed to carry on joint activity.
A special meeting in an expanded format with the directors of community-owned creativity centres was held afterwards. During the meeting they attached importance to increasing the efficiency of out-of-school education, to making it more creative and interesting.
