The problem of blocks of flats with 4th degree of emergency condition is going to be passed from discussions to practical phase. Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan started the inspective torus to administrative districts from the blocks of flats in bad emergency condition: dwellers’ safety is a priority.

“There are a number of blocks of flats in Ajapnyak district that are of really bad emergency condition and are really unsafe for dwellers. Today we have visited the buildings at 10 and 17 Arzumanyan street. The problem of these buildings has been discussed for a long time however no practical solutions have been found up today”, marked Tigran Avinyan.
The condition of damaged buildings is getting worse day by day endangering the dwellers’ lives and health. The best solution to the problem is cooperation between the community and the private sector. The vice Mayor visited the area together with the potential developer.
“The sphere of construction in Yerevan is quite active and settlement of this kind of blocks of flats is also an opportunity for developers to carry out their business projects. At this moment there is a developer who is ready to undertake the responsibility as the problem needs urgent solution. Generally, as regards all such buildings we are ready to work out a program to interest all possible developers”, said the vice Mayor.
Developers are to discuss a number of problems with residents. Mutual understanding and agreement are highly important in this aspect, however taking into account the urgency of the problem the community will take measures to ensure safe conditions for the dwellers as soon as possible.
The kindergarten N41 in Yerevan is in bad emergency conditions as well. The persons in charge stressed that the building is going to be fortified and proper conditions will be provided for kids.
During the inspection visit the Deputy Mayor also visited the shelters to see the conditions provided there.
