The issues related to the perspectives of cooperation in some spheres of urban economy were discussed during the meeting of Yerevan Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan with the delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus Republic Dmitry Korchik. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk was present at the meeting too.
Greeting the guests Vahe Nikoyan presented the investment policy adopted within the scope of Yerevan development program and the activities carried out during the recent years to improve business environment. Deputy Mayor referred to large-scale investment projects being currently implemented including public transport improvement, elevators facilities and some other directions related to providing comfortable environment outlining the perspectives of possible cooperation.
“The favourable investment environment formed in Yerevan gives lots of possibilities for mutually beneficial cooperation. Various successful investment projects have already been implemented. We highly appreciate our cooperation with Belarus, particularly with Minsk and in this regard we attach importance to the interest of Belarus companies in the implementation of urban programs”, said Vahe Nikoyan adding that within its powers Yerevan Municipality is ready to expand business ties and assist in the implementation of joint projects.

“Having studied the priorities of Yerevan development we would like to offer the experience of the leading companies of Belarus. I think that with the Municipality support we will find points for cooperation in mentioned above and some other fields”, said Dmitry Korchik.
The Ambassador of Belarus Igor Nazaruk in his turn thanking for essential discussion expressed willingness to assist in developing bilateral economi ties.
Yerevan Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan once again restated the willingness of Yerevan Municipality to develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
