Possible directions of cooperation between Yerevan and Belorussian cities were discussed during the meeting of Deputy Mayor of Yerevan David Ohanyan with the first Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Gennadi Sviderski. The Chief Advisor of Yerevan Mayor Vano Vardanyan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk took part in the meeting as well.
Greeting the guests on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Deputy Mayor said that the multilateral cooperation between Yerevan and Belorussian cities is based on the friendly and partner relationship between Armenia and Belarus. David Ohanyan also stressed the fact that both countries are the members of the Eurasian Economic Union which creates new possibilities for the expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the First Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus Gennadi Sviderski noted that there is wide field for multilateral cooperation and expressed willingness to promote bilateral cooperation development. The parties agreed to carry on the discussion of possible cooperation in different spheres of urban economy.
