During the regular working meeting the Mayor of Yerevan instructed to set supervision at the objects which are under construction so as to exclude project deviations. Hrachya Sargsyan informed that any construction built with significant violations of the conditions or urban development norms and rules set by the permission given, is considered illegal, can’t be recognized legal and is to be demolished in accordance with Part 1.1 of Paragraph 188 of the Code. Currently, more than 9000 objects are under construction in Yerevan. The persons in charge of the sphere have been assigned to notify construction developers to exclude project deviations as well as to carry out inspection visits to the building sites. The objects where project deviations will be revealed, will be considered illegal, thus their further legalization applications cannot be discussed.

The process of construction of the new parking lot for vehicles at the storage area of “Yergaghluys” company as well as the reconstruction of the buildings of the company are at the final stage. Comfortable working conditions will be provided for the employees of the company to ensure more effective management.

The Hrazdan gorge will get the status of being under environmental protection: the technical characteristics is already ready, and the process has been launched. This initiative of the city authorities will have an important significance from the point of view of the ecosystem improvement.

The construction of the recreation zone in the area adjacent to the Yerevan Lake is going on. Benches, rubbish bins are to be installed, as sports ground, a cycling lane, an alley are to be constructed, the whole territory will be provided with energy saving illumination. The recreation zone will stand out with its landscaping solutions; a drip irrigation system will be installed and the landscape typical for stone gardens will be created in the area.

To ensure regular operation of the new public buses the areas of bus-stops will be expanded which will help avoid traffic jams. The process of listing the bus stops has started.

To develop “workout” sport style in Yerevan special equipment is being constructed and installed in the administrative districts. The process has reached its final stage in Davtashen, Malatia-Sebastia, Arabkir and Nor Nork administrative districts.
