Regular Meeting of the “Council for Social Assistance” Adjunct to the Mayor of Yerevan Was Held
A regular session of the “Council for Social Assistance” adjunct to the Mayor of Yerevan was convened to discuss issues concerning families in need of social support in the capital. The meeting was chaired by Yerevan Deputy Mayor Sargis Madatyan.
The issues included on the agenda, which were submitted by the administrative districts, mainly involved requests for partial tuition fee compensation and the improvement of living conditions. All matters on the agenda were approved.
During the discussion, members of the Yerevan Council of Elders and representatives of social protection NGOs addressed current challenges in the social sector, along with possible solutions. They emphasized the importance of systematically and continuously enhancing assistance programs for socially vulnerable families.
