During the regular working visit in Yerevan City Hall Mayor Taron Margaryan who chaired the meeting was reported regarding the process of prevention and liquidation of consequences of illegal construction and land occupation that 6 cases had been revealed the previous week, This was reported by the head of the Department of Urban Development and Land Control Hayk Asatryan who also informed that administrative protocols had been drawn up regarding cases of violation. it was also reported that at two locations the illegal constructions had been dismantled.

It was also reported that the previous week illegal construction had been stopped in Kentron and Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts. These cases are actually the result of irresponsible work of the employees of corresponding subdivisions of the administrative districts. It was instructed to carry on rigid control and to reprimand the employees whose work would be found inappropriate.
“It’s unacceptable when illegal construction has been going on for 10 days and we get informed about it by the residents. Not stopping the illegal construction for such a long time means that corresponding inspectors and persons in charge of these areas fail their obligations. Reprimand all of them and if the cases are repeated, fire them. Be more consistent in this regard. Those who prefer such way of working aren’t needed here”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
During the working meeting it was also reported that 80 administrative protocols for wastes dumping in inappropriate places had been drawn up the previous week. It was instructed to carry on tight control.
