Current issues are discussed during regular meeting in Yerevan Municipality

During the regular working meeting in Yerevan City Hall it was reported that as a result of everyday control over revelation and prevention of the cases of illegal construction and land occupation 4 cases of violation had been discovered and administrative records had been drawn up. At two addresses the illegal constructions had been dismantled. 4 other cases were revealed concerning breaking the rules of building site arrangement. It was instructed to keep the activities under permanent control.

It was reported that as a result of joint activities with the Road Police, the control over public transport means 26 records had been drawn up, 19 of which related to parking of other vehicles at the parking spots provided for public transport. The rest 7 cases related to illegal car selling in inappropriate places. It was instructed to carry on the control jointly with corresponding services of the administrative districts to provide necessary quantity of vehicles and appropriate service particularly in the evening. Concerning prevention of street-vending it was instructed to strengthen the control particularly in yard areas.
By the Mayor’s instruction, the activities related to revelation and prevention of waste dumping in inappropriate places are going on.
It was also reported that regarding 53 cases of violations administrative records had been drawn up. It was instructed to keep under control not only the surroundings of dumps but also the areas turned by the residents into dumps.
The head of the Department of Nature Protection reported that two-shift irrigation was carried out to provide proper care of green areas. In parallel, improvement of alleys and flower decoration are going on. It was instructed to keep the area adjacent to Tsitsernakaberd Memorial under control to keep it clean and well-arranged.
Concerning the defects in external lighting of the streets, squares and parks of the capital, it was instructed to eliminate them and ensure proper lighting in the courtyards, underground crossings and other areas.
The Department of Health and other corresponding subdivisions were assigned to keep the artificial water basins under permanent control so that swimming in them would be prohibited, as well as to provide their regular cleaning.
Related to final and state exams the head of Education Department reported that the school-leavers of 145 basic schools had passed their exams getting their leaving certificates. 125 of the graduates received excellent certificates. The 447 pupils of 13 secondary schools and the special school for the blind passed their exams successfully too and got their certificates.
The head of Control Department reported that regular inspections in kindergartens of the capital were going on as well. During the inspections carried out in 38 kindergartens no cases of violations concerning the quality of food had been recorded.
