During the weekly working meeting conducted by Mayor Taron Margaryan in Yerevan City Hall it was reported that the actions planned within the frames of the three-month program of events “Yerevan summer 2016” are going on in all administrative districts and children from needy families and special groups take part in the as well. The Mayor instructed to carry on the supervision over the organization and holding of the mentioned actions.
Taking into account frequent cases of children's swimming in artificial pools on summer days, the Department of Health Care of Yerevan Municipality and all corresponding subdivisions were instructed by the Mayor to set rigid control in those areas, to place swimming banning signs and to warn of possible dangers.
“On hot summer days children and young boys often make use of artificial pools and it can threaten their health. On Vardavar feast day we certainly make some exceptions and allow children to bathe in the pools. In this case appropriate preparations are made in advance. In other cases swimming and bathing in these pools are dangerous. The water and the structure of these pools are not intended for swimming and parents are to be regularly informed about the dangers and urged not to allow their children to swim in artificial pools”, said Mayor Taron Margaryan. Within the frames of the working meeting the head of the Department of Nature Protection reported that landscaping, cleaning up parks, expansion of flowered areas, as well as treatment of trees and bushes are going on in the capital. Irrigations systems work uninterruptedly. It was mentioned that because of the problem with water tension irrigation is not provided in the segment between new and old Saralanji streets. The Mayor instructed to liquidate the problem within a short time so as to provide proper irrigation of this area.
