On September 6, 12 families representing Yerevan at the final of the Republican Competition “Best Sports family 2015” for the RA President Prize, left for Tsakhkadzor main sport base. In his greeting speech addressed to the Yerevan sport delegation the head of the division of sport and youth affairs of Yerevan Municipality Yuri Mamikonyan said that Yerevan Municipality did their best to keep high the moral and psychological and physical readiness of Yerevan families at this responsible and honorable competition. Yerevan team has always showed best results at this competition held for 11 years. Yuri Mamikonyan expressed hope that this year the Yerevan team wouldn’t disappoint its supporters and the main prize of the RA President, the Cup would be handed to Yerevan Municipality for the second time running.

The participants of the competition in their turn assured that in the person of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan Yerevan Municipality has done everything to ensure proper organization of the competition and they would do their best to uphold the honor of the capital. The competition is held in 4 age groups in the following kinds of competition: relay-race 30 m, exercises with a basketball, game relay-race with a tennis ball, standing long jump, game relay-race 80 m (15m+25m+40m), compile the word “Victory” and shooting contest (the latter for the 3rd and 4th age groups, with an air rifle). On September 12, in Tsakhkadzor, the RA President Serzh Sargsyan will hand the prizes to the best sport families of the Republic and the main prize, the Cup will be handed to the team won in total account. Since 2014 the families with disabled members have been participating in this competition as well.
