“Let’s keep our city clean” school competition has been summarized
The competition of 1-minute videos “Let’s keep the city clean” realized by the joint initiative of Yerevan Municipality and dasaran. am educational program has been summarized. 1495 schoolchildren from Armenia and Artsakh took part in this competition announced and held since July 1.
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan was [resent at the ceremony and awarded the winner.
“Cleaning the city is certainly the job of city authorities, but keeping the cleanness is the duty of each resident. Here we can a number of schoolchildren who already has their civil position and propagandize this way of education, courtesy and patriotism. Everyone tried to express their view in their video and today they are awarded for it. Patriotism is a culture, is a good education, is a good way of studying and teaching. My congratulations and gratitude to all of you”, said Aram Sukiasyan.
About 100 works were presented at “Let’s keep our city clean” competition. 300 of them were selected at the first stage and paced at dasaran.am website. About 1 million of the users of this website 450.000 of which are schoolchildren voted.
“Initiating this project we tried by means of schoolchildren to convey to grown-ups that everything must be done to keep the environment clean. And the children implemented the project in the best way, so the jury found it difficult to choose the best 25 works. Be sure that not only these children but also their friends and grown-ups surrounding them will learn from them how to keep the environment clean”, said the founder director of dasaran.am educational project Suren Aloyan and added that the pupils won the first six places got valuable presents: notebooks, computers, and the winner was awarded with computers not only for himself but for his school as well.
The winners were awarded by Yerevan Municipality, dasaran.am website and the partners sponsoring the initiative. Well-known art figures Meruzhan Ter-Gulanyan, Tigran Hekekyan and others handed the awardes to the pupils.
