Sports Events for People with Disabilities
At the initiative of the Yerevan Municipality, an adaptive sports event featuring people with disabilities was held, bringing together around 170 participants.
The event included competitions in eight types of sports: wheelchair hockey, wheelchair basketball, table tennis, chess, para-powerlifting, para-athletics (across three disciplines), boccia, and showdown.
Competitions were held at several venues, including the Yerevan State Sports College of Olympic Reserve, Artashat City Stadium, and the Shengavit Complex Sports School.
The event aims to promote inclusive sports and ensure equal opportunities for all, highlighting the unique power of sport to break down barriers and bring people together.
