On the invitation of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Honored Artist of the RF, famous b Russian ballet dancer Anastasia Volochkova was hosted in the City Hall of Yerevan. Greeting the guest Mayor Taron Margaryan thanked for having accepted the invitation and noted that the Yerevan performance of the world-famous dancer is observed within the frames of «Erebuni-Yerevan 2794» celebration and thus continues the festive mood.
"It’s really pleasure for us to host you in our ancient city right after the festive events dedicated to the day of the capital and I am sure that it is also a good occasion for you to feel the festive mood of Yerevan. I believe you have already admired the beauty of Yerevan and made sure that your are an expected and appreciated guest in our hospitable city”, said Taron Margaryan and assured that the Yerevan performance of the prominent Russian ballet dancer will have its special place in the cultural life of the capital which has been so abundant this year.
Expressing gratitude to the Mayor for the invitation and warm welcome Anastasia Volochkova in her turn said that she had been warmly welcomed by the Armenian audience. She also said that after her first visit which had been six years before she was pleasantly surprised with the present look of Yerevan for it has become unrecognizable with its beauty.v "I can assure you that Mr. Mayor that I really admire Yerevan. It has become more beautiful, and I am really glad for it because I consider myself to be a good friend of Armenian people. Moreover, having a lot of Armenian friends I feel at home here and I'd like to visit your wonderful country more often when possible", said Anastasia Volochkova and added that she would like to be more involved in Armenian cultural programs.
Taking the opportunity the famous Russian ballet dancer discussed with the Mayor the possibility of giving a master class for the young pupils of Yerevan Choreographic College. Mayor Taron Margaryan welcomed the proposal and instructed the executives of the Municipality to discuss the issue and arrange the master class as soon as possible.
