Another event included in “Yerevan summer 2017” three-month program of Yerevan Municipality was held for beer lovers. The 4th Yerevan Beer Fest which had already become traditional and beloved by townspeople and guests of the capital was organized in the area of Swan’s Lake.

During the event the leading beer producing companies of Armenia, pubs, cafes of Yerevan presented the participants the best traditions of Armenian brewing, as well as approximately three-thousand history of beer creation. Yerevan Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan, Mayor’s Assistant Maria Baraghamyan as well as the head of Municipality tourism division Gevorg Orbelyan were present at the event.
Maria Baraghamyan attached importance to the role of Yerevan Beer Fest in event tourism development in the capital.
“This festival which is the third big event with tourism component after “Yerevan with flair” and “YerevanTARAZfest” has become very popular with our co-citizens and guests of the capital. The number of participants is increasing from year to year”, said Maria Baraghamyan. The participants were traditionally offered various sorts of beer and snacks in the pavilions located in the area of Swan’s Lake. Among them were “Yerevan beer” brewery, “Gyumri” and “Alexandropol”, “Kotayk” brewery, “Beer Academia” pub-restaurant, “Yankee” pub, “Karloff” Czech pub-restaurant, Armenian crayfish association, “BeerMania” pub-café. This year “Alaverdy” and “Dilijan” brewery factories, “Wild West” and “Barel” pubs took part in the festival for the first time. The representatives of participating companies outlined that the festival gives a good opportunity to present townspeople and guests of the capital the Armenian brewery,its best traditions and history. They assured that the guests were impressed with the taste of Armenian beer and various snacks.
A number of interesting games-contests were organized for those present: such as fastest drinker, drinking through a straw, decide on sausages flavor, fastest peanut pealing fastest crayfish eating and so on. The winners got presents form Yerevan Municipality tourism division and from participating companies.
To make the day more interesting a concert program was organized too. “Alexandropol” band and DJ Leo came up with live performance. At the end of the event all the participants of the 4th Yerevan Beer Fest got Yerevan Mayor’s thanksgiving diplomas.
