Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with numerous art figures was present at the ceremony of opening the memorial board of the film director, scenario writer, actor, the RA People’s Artist Nerses Hovhannisyan.
The honour of solemn opening was given to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan as well as Nerses Hovhannisyan’s son and daughter.
Those present noted that the memorial board with the sculptured portrait of the film director which is placed at 30.Buzand str. is special sign of his commemoration as he was born in this house and lived here till 1974.
Expressing gratitude to Mayor Taron Margaryan and to all supporters of the initiative, Nerses Hovhannisyan’s daughter Anahit Hovhannisyan noted that the memorial board also became a present for the film director’s birthday.
It should be noted that the architect of the memorial board is Tigran Barseghyan, the sculptor is Hayk Petrosyan.
