The monument to Marshall Hamazasp Babajanyan has been unveiled in Yerevan

The RA President Serzh Sargsyan was present at the ceremony of opening of the monument to the Soviet Union Hero, the Chief Marshall of the armoured troops Hamazasp Babajanyan. The monument was unveiled in the park adjacent to Babajanyan street in Avan administrative district of the capital. The sculptor of the monument is Hamlet Matinyan, the architect is Mikael Misakyan.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the RA Minister of Defence Seiran Ohanyan, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the Commander of the land forces of the USA in Europe, Lieutenant General Frederick Ben Hodges, the Commander of the National Guard of Kansas state, General Adjutant Lee Tafanelli and the military attaches of the embassies of the foreign countries, the natives of Chardakhlu (Khachisar) village, living in Yerevan, the members of “ Gardman Union of Compatriots“ and other guests were present at the event. Those present put flowers t the monument and paid the memory tribute to the outstanding commander.
