The first session of the 6th convocation of Yerevan Council of Elders convened on September 8 was chaired by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan. After the confirmation of the agenda and the staff of the counting board the members of the Council voted unanimously for the draft decision to place the memorial board of the RA People's Artist Kim Yeritsyan at Vardanants street 2nd lane,4.
By unanimous voting the Council also approved the draft decision on naming the basic school N 192 in Davtashen district of Yerevan after the eminent Armenian investigator of the Soviet Union Gevorg Vardanyan, as well as the non-commercial organization “Nubarashen community music school” in Yerevan after the RA Honorary artist, professor Villy Mokatsyan.
The Council of Elders also made a decision to accept the monument “The children of the Siege of Leningrad” placed in Arabkir administrative district as a present from Saint-Petersburg city of Russia. The Council of Elders by the majority of votes approved the decision on making changes and amendments in the decision “On statutory rates of local payments in Yerevan community”.
By unanimous voting the Council also confirmed the land balance of Yerevan at the moment of June 1, 2015. The rest items included in the agenda of the meeting were also approved y the Council. It was decided to call the next meeting of the Council of Elders on October 28.
