A cultural and educational program «We remember» in Yerevan schools
The son of the famous French film director of the Armenian origin Henry Verneuil film director Patric Malakyan who has arrived in Yerevan with a private visit, is taking part in the cultural and educational program «We remember» dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide by the invitation of the Department of General Education of the Municipality of Yerevan.
The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan and Patric Malakyan were present at one of the events in the school N 128 in Yerevan.
«It is notable that we have started our meetings from schools: being a representative of one of the most accomplished Armenian communities in the world, with such a rich biography you certainly have a lot of interesting information for our schoolchildren. The Armenian community of France has given a number of eminent art, science figures who honoured the Armenian people not only in France but throughout the world. We are proud of Henri Verneuil who is a world-famous film director; his films are full of the Armenian spirit», said Aram Sukiasyan and added that in October, on the event of the birthday of Henri Vernauil, a street named after him will be opened in YeIt is very important for me to come to Armenia and be here on these days. In one of the cinemas of Yerevan Patric Malakyan together with the schoolchildren and their teachers watched «Mayrik» in Armenian, then had a talk with those present about the film and the artistic life of the film director Henri Vernauil.
