During the regular working meeting in the City Hall chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan it was reported that permanent control was set over the meeting of the requirements of the decisions made by Yerevan Council of Elders on obligatory improvement, trade and services by individual and legal entities. During two previous weeks 65 cases of violations of the mentioned norms were recorded. Besides, it was reported that in the same period 134 cases of waste dumping in inappropriate places were fixed and administrative reports were drawn up.

Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the heads of the administrative district and corresponding services to keep the process under permanent control so that the decisions of the Council of Elders be met.
«I want it to be clear for everyone that our goal is not to apply penalties and collect money, but to establish discipline in the capital and to get rid of some vicious habits. As long as there are violators we are obliged to fine them and discipline them in accordance with law. No exception can be made in this issue so I expect you to work consistently», said Taron Margaryan.
In the field of urban development and land control 13 cases of illegal construction and land occupation. It was reported that dismantling had been carried out towards 6 cases revealed previously.
Concerning the work being carried out by international credit programs it was reported that all the activities were going on as scheduled. The Mayor instructed to keep the process and the quality under permanent control.
«The fact that the technical maintenance of these activities is carried out by international organizations doesn't mean that we have nothing to do in this regard. The infrastructures created as a result of the work should serve the residents for many years so we are obliged to set control over the quality of the work done so that everything would be done in accordance with standards. Take urgent measures a soon as you reveal defects», stressed Taron Margaryan.
Concerning everyday control over the quality of public transport services it was reported that 23 administrative reported were drawn up towards the violations revealed during inspections. It was also reported that within the frames of the month of safe traffic strengthened control over the areas adjacent to educational establishments is going on jointly with the Road Police.

«I'd like to draw your attention to such bad habits as drivers' smoking and talking on the phone while driving. There is no need to say again how dangerous it can be for people. So, we must take additional measures to eliminate the problem. I expect you to cooperate with the Road Police, with the NGOs and active citizens. I am sure that our joint struggle in this regard will give the desirable results», emphasized Taron Margaryan adding that all the problems concerning public transport would always be on the agenda of the city authorities.
Regarding the instructions given to the organizations serving school canteen it was reported that some defects were revealed in 17 municipal schools. The Mayor instructed to go on inspections to schools and to keep the process under control.
«If corresponding organizations don't meet their obligations within the fixed period, terminate the contracts with them without discussing. Everyone should understand that no defects in children's food catering can be forgiven», said Taron Margaryan.
The persons in charge also reported that the food in the schools providing inclusive education is purchased by centralized order and the process is under permanent control.
During the meeting it was also reported that the program of events of dedicated to «Erebuni-Yerevan 2797» celebration is completely ready. This year it will held under the motto «My warm and kind city».The program includes a number of social actions. The public will be informed about them during the press conference to be held on September 30.
