Big Volumes of Work Cause Big Problems in City Life, So Creation of Proper Infrastructures Is Vital: Tigran Avinyan
Installation of the elevators in the underground passage opposite the Covered Market is starting next week. During the regular working meeting it was reported that 20 elevators for people with locomotor problems are going to be installed in Yerevan this year.

In 2023, it is planned to replace 500 elevators in residential buildings in Yerevan. The first stage of the program involves 100 elevators, and in 64 locations the activities have been completed. The second stage covers installation of 400 elevators, and the process has started at 124 locations.

In order to reduce traffic jams, reversive traffic will be organized in Myasnikyan avenue. In morning and evening hours an additional lane will be put into operation.

In parallel with construction volumes increasing day by day in Yerevan, new problems related to infrastructures appear. Within the frames of investment projects in infrastructures development, this year 25 km of gas pipes will be installed in Yerevan 12,5 km of which is ready; 9 km of water pipes and 1,4 km of sewage lines will be installed as well. Besides, 17,2 km of cables will be replaced in 101 blocks of flats.
Tigran Avinyan pointed out that numerous problems were connected with gas and water supply in new residential buildings, and it can be stated that most of them have been solved. Big volumes of work cause big problems and the least they can do is to develop proper infrastructures in accordance with standards. Yerevan residents deserve better attitude.

The second stage of designing the “Ajapnyak” metro station is completed, and the third one will be over by the end of the year. So, it will become possible to start the construction next year. The amount of 4 milliard dram is anticipated for the middle-term expenditure program.
