Within the frames of “Moscow days in Yerevan” program a round table was organized in Moscow House. The aim of the round table discussion was tourism development between the two capitals. Yerevan Mayor's Assistant Maria Baraghamyan, the representative of the state committee for tourism of the RA Ministry of Economic Development and Investments Mekhak Apresyan, the Rector of Armenian Institute of Tourism Robert Minasyan as well as the representatives of Yerevan tourism industry took part in the meeting.
Greeting the participants of the round table Yerevan Mayor's Assistant Maria Baraghamyan presented the program activities carried out by the city authorities jointly with various structures in the direction of tourism development.
“Today sunny Yerevan is a preferable destination for numerous tourists from various counties. This fact is proved by the surveys carried out by on-line service “Svyaznoy travel”, according to which Yerevan has a top position among the most preferable tourism destinations. I am sure that this meeting will become one more stimulus for tourism expansion and development between the two cities”, said Maria Baraghamyan.
During the round table discussion the Moscow City Committee on Tourism and Hotel Industry and Tourism Department of Moscow presented the tourism possibilities of Moscow. The specialists of Tourism Department of Culture and Tourism of Yerevan Municipality as well as the representatives of tourism sphere made reports on tourism possibilities of modern Yerevan as well as presented Armenia as a nowadays direction at the Russian market.
During the meeting Yerevan party also presented the possibilities of working out joint educational tourist programs. Summarizing the results the parties made an agreement regarding further cooperation, experience exchange and implementation of joint projects.
