"Construction with Design Deviations Will Cause Big Problems for Developers"։ Mayor Tigran Avinyan
The amendments to the Code of Administrative Violations came into force on October 13. The amendments make it possible to apply penalties to those developers who use their buildings without having the final act and permission. During the regular working meeting it was reported that, in accordance with the changes, the amount of the first fine is 500-700 thousand drams, and it will be 1-1,5 million in case of carrying on.
“We are moving to a new stage: everyone is obliged to get their final acts. The construction with design deviations will cause big problems to developers, thus we urge them to stay within their design documents, the one they had presented to Yerevan Municipality”,- stressed Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan.

Three more illegal filling stations were dismantled due to the materials prepared by the Department of Trade and Services. Mayor Avinyan pointed out that the activity of filling stations located in residential areas must be ceased primary because they cause security problems.

The problem of resettlement of the residents of 4th level emergency buildings in Arzumanyan street will be completely solved. Within the scope of the community-developer-resident cooperation new buildings will be built on the same plot, and the residents will get new homes. It was reported that the contracts are going to be signed with residents in near future.

Next year, an experimental program of current road servicing is starting in one administrative district in Yerevan. The road construction companies recognized winners will be engaged in filling of road holes and cracks, street marking, installation of road signs and other relevant activities for 12 months. As regards the street marking it was required that starting from next year the process is to be carried out with thermoplastic.

In continuation of the patrol police service reforms the city authorities consider establishment of the community police in Yerevan. It was instructed to start the process. In working out the concept the community cooperates with the US Embassy in Armenia.

The community plans to purchase 250 electric buses. To realize the project the community started the negotiations with the EBRD.
