Green Area Instead of Café Adjacent to Opera House
The area of about 1,000 square meters adjacent to the Opera House will become a green and well-maintained space. Yerevan Municipality is dismantling the café located at 2/2 Sayat-Nova Avenue. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan emphasized that the process will be ongoing, and public spaces will gradually be returned to the residents of Yerevan.
"For decades, we have seen a reduction in green spaces around the Opera and watched these areas being transformed into various cafés and buildings. This area has been returned to the community by the lessor and will be turned into a green zone. We will continue this policy both in other parks and in the Opera area," the Mayor stated.
