Winners of the Paralympic Games, their coaches, and supporters honored with awards
The First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Armen Pambukhchyan, hosted the Paralympic Games champion athletes, their coaches, and supporters. The meeting was also attended by H.E. Mr. Olivier Décottignies, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Armenia.
The 20th Republican Festival of Armenian Parasports, held in 2024, brought together around 120 athletes with disabilities from various regions of Armenia.
Highlighting the significance of organizing this sports festival, Armen Pambukhchyan stated that it gives disabled athletes the opportunity to showcase their achievements in sports and is an important step toward ensuring inclusivity.
The competitions were held in such disciplines as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair racing, chess, boccia, weightlifting, table tennis, and showdown.
