On the event of International Theater Day Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded Yerevan Mayor's Gold Medal to a number of theater figures for their contribution to theatrical art, to upbringing of generations, creation and spreading of cultural values. Among the awardees were: the cinema critic, professor, the RA Honorary Art Worker, the rector of Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinematography David Muradyan; to actor Ara Sargsyan and actor, producer, lecturer t Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinematography Samson Stepanyan.
For significant contribution to the cultural life of the capital, for creation and spreading of cultural values, as well as on the event of the 50th birthday anniversary, Yereva Mayor's Gold Medal was awarded to the actor of musical theater, dancer, choreographer Hrachyan Badalyan.
On the event of the Theater Day, for his contribution to the cultural life of the capital and distinguished achievements in theatrical art, the actor of Yerevan Drama Theater after Ghrachyan Ghaplanyan Armen Barseghyan, actor and director Samvel Sargsyan, the actor of the Theater of Musical Comedy after Hakob Paronyan Varuzhan Manukyan and the art manager of «Mim Studio», lecturer at Yerevan State Institute and Theater and Cinematography Ara Harutyunyan were awarded with the medal «Honorary Culture Worker of Yerevan».
On the event of the Theater Day, for the contribution to theatrical art, aesthetic education of children, creation and spreading of cultural values, as well as on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of foundation Yerevan State Puppet Theater after Hovhannes Tumanyan was awarded with «Yerevan Emblem» memorial medal.
A number of young figures of theatrical art were awarded with Yerevan Mayor's thanksgiving diplomas.
Congratulating those present on International Theater Day Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan wished the art figures strong health, happiness, new creative achievements and long years of fruitful activity.
