Volunteers supported community programs and youth organizations won in innovative programs contest are awarded
On the event of the international day of volunteers a ceremony of awarding was held in the City Hall of Yerevan. During the ceremony, the volunteers who supported community programs were awarded. Speaking about the volunteers’ movement Yerevan Deputy Mayor Gayane Melkom Melkomyan noted that Yerevan community attaches significant importance to new ideas and highly appreciates the efforts and devotion of young volunteers to making Yerevan more flourished. By another initiative, in November of the current year Yerevan Municipality announced the open, public competition entitled “Financing of innovative programs of youth organizations aimed at solution of the problems of Yerevan community”. The representatives of the four youth organizations recognized winners of the contest got awards.
