“We must always be strong and hope for ourselves”: Yerevan Municipality staff visits Tsitsernakaberd
Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and the First Deputy Mayor of Lyon George Kepenekyan who is in Yerevan with an official visit, visited the Memorial Complex of Tsitsernakaberd together with the employees of the Municipality and members of the Council of Elders to render the memory tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
“It is one of the most tragic pages of our history and we must learn from it. The most important lesson is that we must always be strong and hope only for ourselves. Global recognition is necessary for the world so as no more genocides can be possible”, said Hayk Marutyan in his talk with the journalists.
