“Russian Buses-GAZ Group” company expressed willingness to take part in the realization of the reform programs in the transport system of Yerevan. During the meeting with the delegation headed by the director of Department for Foreign Economic Affairs of the company Dmitry Pizhikov, the first Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Hrachya Sargsyan presented the main requirements and approaches which will be included in the program of installation of the new system of urban transport in the capital.
“Yerevan Municipality receives proposals on new buses purchase from different companies. The new transport network provides for operation of 845 buses in Yerevan. Currently, the criteria for selection of new buses are being specified”, noted Hrachya Sargsyan.
Presenting the activity of “Russian Buses-GAZ Group” company, the director of the department Dmitry Pizhikov noted that the firm produces more than 20 models of urban buses. The company produces 75% of the buses at the Russian market. The diversity of models makes it possible to take into account all aspects of bus operation in the conditions of complicated relief. Spare parts and other details of both Russian and foreign manufacture provide high quality of buses. Dmitry Pizhikov also noted that they are ready to host the delegation of Yerevan so as to familiarize them with the process of manufacture and technical facilities of the buses.
The first Deputy Mayor of Yerevan stressed that the Municipality is ready to discuss any proposals for reformation and regulation of this sphere which will meet the requirements fixed in the program.
