A green barrier is being created between cemeteries and neighboring residential areas in Yerevan. The “Greening and Environmental Protection” CNCO project was launched at Davtashen Cemetery, where approximately 40 Japanese Sophora trees (Styphnolobium japonicum), valued for their drought tolerance and dust-absorbing properties, are being planted.
The project is ongoing, with expansion planned next at the Central (Tokhmakh), Spandaryan, and Shahumyan cemeteries.
