Taron Margaryan: “Owners of open-air cafes have no right to distort the look of the city”

During the regular working meeting in the City Hall Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was reported that necessary measures are being taken to provide uninterrupted work of heating systems in municipal schools, pre-schools, cultural and medical establishments.

Referring to winter preparations Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed ”Water structures” company to check out technical conditions of drinking water fountains, basins and other water structures of the capital and to prepare for their conservation. Referring to autumn precipitation season the Department of Communal Services and the heads of 12 administrative districts have been instructed to study the condition of rain pipes of blocks of flats and to liquidate the defects.
“Every year at rain season we get some alarm calls regarding the damages our citizens have got because of defects in drainage systems. To exclude such defects study the situation jointly with condominiums, inventory existing problems and eliminate them within a short time providing further proper work of the drainage systems”, said Taron Margaryan. Taking into account weather change Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the Department of Trade and Services and public order security service to set tight control together with corresponding structures of administrative districts so as to prohibit the activity of objects and pavilions separated with polyethylene covers.
“Because of the rainy weather some entities engaged in open-air try to separate their areas covering them with polyethylene. Set rigid control over meeting contractual obligations by the entities and prevent such cases a the owners of opеn-air cafes have no right to distort the external look of the city. No exceptions can be made in this issue”, said Taron Margaryan.
