Taron Margaryan: Lessees of underground crossings are obliged to put their areas to proper form

17.10.2016

During the regular working meeting Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan referred to the problem of underground crossings in the capital, their operation and preservation. The Municipality Department of Communal services and the heads of the administrative districts were instructed to ensure within a short time meeting the obligations for putting underground crossings to proper form by economy entities.
“Presently the underground crossings in the capital are mainly leased. The corresponding treaty provides for operation terms but the condition of underground pedestrian crossings is far from being satisfactory. It's unacceptable. Therefore this issu must be discussed with the lessees of the crossings. they are obliged to put their areas to proper form by their own means and within a short time. In case this requirement is not met the treaties signed with them will be reconsidered. We must be more demanding in this issue”, said Taron Margaryan.
The administration of the Yerevan metro was also instructed to put the underground crossings leading to metro stations to proper form.
