Taron Margaryan: “All our team expressed willingness to be next to Artsakh and it people and this is not simply work but moral duty and important mission”

The delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan which is in Artsakh with an official visit was welcomed by the NKR President Bako Sahakyan. During the meeting an expanded conference was held regarding the issues related to the cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and Stepanakert and NKR districts.

The Patriarch of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, NA Chairman Ashot Ghulyan, Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, other officials took part in the conference.
Greeting the members of Yerevan delegation NKR President highly appreciated the tight relationship established with the RA capital stressing that Yerevan Municipality has its particularly important role in Artsakh life and this fact is highly appreciated by the Armenians of Artsakh.
“We highly appreciate the sincere interest and willingness of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and the whole staff of Yerevan Municipality to develop and expand relationship with Stepanakert and Artsakh districts. It is an expression patriotism and high civil position”, said Bako Sahakyan.
Expressing gratitude for the appreciation of fulfilled activities Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that it made them feel more responsible.
“Since 2012 we have implemented and are implementing numerous projects in teamwork with our Artsakh colleagues. These projects are aimed at Artsakh development and cover the spheres of culture, education, social welfare, health care, humanitarian and tourism spheres. Sustainable partnership has been established between the administrative districts of Yerevan and towns and districts of Artsakh. In the context of our cooperation I would like to outline our joint efforts aimed at strengthening the ties between army and society. It includes both the visits of the parents of the servicemen serving in frontier military units and the leave given to Yerevan residing servicemen distinguished while serving in the army. Our whole team expressed willingness to be next to Artsakh and its people and this is not simply work but a moral duty and an important mission. I am sure that all the programs implemented by our teams up today and received appreciation are serving as a base for future more large-scaled programs which we will certainly fulfil by our joint efforts”, said Taron Margaryan.
For significant contribution to n the cooperation and mutual ties between the RA capital and NKR Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded NKR President Bako Sahakyan with the memory medal “Argishti I”.
For the great contribution to realization of cooperation programs between Yerevan and NKR Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded the NKR AD commander, Lieutenant-General Levon Mnatsakanyan, the head of the NKR AD headquarters, Major-General Kamo Vardanyan, the NKR Police head, Major-General Kamo Aghajanyan with Yerevan Mayor's Gold Medal.

For For successful cooperation between Yerevan and Stepanakert, Stepanakert Mayor Suren Grigoryan and the First Deputy mayor of Stepanakert Suren Tamrazyan were also awarded with Yerevan Mayor's Gold Medal.
Yerevan Mayor's Gold Medal was also awarded to the head of Shushi district administration Vladimir Kasyan.
During the expanded conference Artsakh President handed state awards to Yerevan Deputy Mayors Aram Sukiasyan and David Ohanyan, Yerevan Mayor's Chief Advisor Vano Vardanyan, to Mayor's Advisor Arayik Kotanjyan, to the heads of Yerevan administrative districts of Arabkir,Erebuni, Malatia Sebastia, Nor Nork, Nork Marash, Nubarashen, Shengavit,Kanaker Zeytun and Kentron; to Mayor's Assistant Maria Baraghamyan, to the heads of Yerevan Municipality departments of foreign relations, of communal services, education, health care, information and public relations.
State awards from Artsakh President were also handed to the director of the municipal CJSC “Ambulance” Taguhi Stepanyan, to the director of “Surb Astvatsamayr”MC Nikolay Dallakyan, to the director of “Yerevanproject” CJSC Sirekan Ohanyan and to the director of “Yerqaghluys” CJSC Vladimir Gabrielyan.
In his speech Stepanakert Mayor Suren Grigoryan noted that it's pleasant to state that the interaction between the capitals of the two states is developing successfully in all directions and the results are obvious.
