During the working meeting in the City Hall which was chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan it was reported that in the relation of revelation and prevention of cases of illegal construction and land occupation 9 protocols were drawn up last week. Actions determined by the law were taken in this regard. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge and heads of administrative districts to set close control over the activities taken in this relation so that no other illegalities could be initiated. If illegal actions are repeated the documentation related to them must be sent to the RA Police and to Yerevan Prosecutor’s Office to be put into operation.

During the working meeting the reports on the processes implemented by the annual program in various spheres of urban economy were made. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to keep the activities under control particularly paying attention to the quality and schedule of the work.
“In parallel with the open competitions announced for the activities to be carried out by the annual program we also announce the competitions for the organizations providing the technical maintenance of the activities so as to ensure specialized control over the quality and terms fixed in the contract. From the legal point of view, the whole responsibility for the quality and volumes of the work is taken by the organizations taking technical control. In any case all those activities are ordered by Yerevan Municipality corresponding departments or the staffs of the heads of administrative districts. And as an employer we must be consistent and demanding so that both building companies and the organizations providing technical control fulfil their contractual obligations”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
Referring to the prevention of the cases of children’s swimming in public water basins during the heat the Mayor instructed the Department of Health and other relevant subdivisions to set tight control in teamwork with Yerevan Department of the RA Police and to install boards forbidding swimming in public water basins in all visible places. Besides, the population must be informed about possible dangers of swimming in inappropriate basins.
At the end of the meeting, taking into account that soon the Football World Cup begins arising a lot of interest among people the Department of External Design and Advertising and the head of Kentron administrative district were assigned by Yerevan Mayor to provide broadcasting of the championship on the big screens in the area adjacent to Swan’s Lake.
