Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the honored sport coaches who mark their 70th jubilee this year. Greeting the guests the Mayor congratulated them on their birthday and wished them strong health and well-being. Taron Margaryan also thanked them for their contribution and devotion to the national sport development.
«I am sure that following your example the number of people keeping healthy lifestyle and going in for sports will increase and they will go on upholding the honour of Armenia in various sport events. Your personal contribution is very important from this point of view particularly taking into account that Yerevan team has been gaining the highest results in Pan Armenian games. We are grateful to you for your big contribution to the Armenian sport development and for upholding the honour of Yerevan», said the Mayor.
During the meeting, on the event of the 70th jubilee, for big contribution to the development of Armenian sport, for success in the field of football and for sport achievements, the member of «Ararat 73» football team, well-known footballer Norayr Mesropyan wa awarded with Yerevan Mayor's Gold Medal.
The RA honoured coaches Khachik Asmaryan, Robert Zakaryan, Nikolay Nikoghosyan, Avetik Khachatryan and Zauri Sargsyan were awarded with Yerevan mayor's honorary diplomas for their services contributed to national sport development and on the occasion of the 70th jubilee. Expressing gratitude for the appreciation the coaches assured that they would go on handing down their experience and knowledge to the younger generation as they would continue the best traditions of the Armenian sport.
