The First Deputy Mayor,acting Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan, Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan and the head of General Education Department Anna Stepanyan were present at the festive event organized on Teacher’s Day in the House of Chamber Music after Komits. The ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition for the title of the best principal, best school teacher and best kindergarten teacher of Yerevan was held during the event.

At the beginning of the event those present commemorated the world-famous chansonnier Charles Aznavour with a minute of silence.
Greeting those present Kamo Areyan congratulated pedagogues on the professional holiday, wished them strong health, professional achievements and success.
According to the competition results the principal of the school after S. Byurat Lilit Antonyan was recognized best principal of the academic year of 2017-2018. The teacher of mathematics of the school after A.Sakharov, Ripsime Avagyan was recognized best teacher of the year, and the teacher of the Kindergarten N162 Ella Hovsepyan was recognized best kindergarten teacher. All the winners received honorary diplomas of Yerevan Mayor and presents.
