Tree planting action in memory of those fallen in the Great Patriotic War
Yerevan has joined “Memory park” international initiative. Within the scope of the initiative Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan together with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Mr. Sergey Kopirkin and other ambassadors participated in the tree planting action in “Haghtanak” (“Victory”) park.
The action was first held last year. The aim is to plant 27 million trees in memory of the fallen during the Great Patriotic War.
In Yerevan the tree planning action was organized with the support of the Municipality.
Totally, 150 trees (sorbus, birch, lilac sorts) were planted.
