The results of the diggings of the Armenian-French archaeological expedition have been summarized in the historical and archaeological museum-reserve “Erebuni”

The results of the 8th summer diggings of the Armenian-French archaeological expedition have been summarized in the historical and archaeological museum-reserve “Erebuni”. Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan, Deputy Ambassador of France to RA Nikolas Faye and the RA Deputy Minister of Culture Arev Samuelyan were present at the event.
The director of the museum Gagik Gyurdjyan presenting the results of the cooperation for 2008-2016 noted that archaeological diggings are very important from the point of view of increasing of the scientific recognition of the reserve, safe protection of the diggings as well as restoration work.
Outlining the importance of the activities carried out in “Erebuni” museum-reserve Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan said that after the reconstruction of the fortress this historical sight will draw a lot of interest and will benefit tourism development in the capital.
