Yerevan Municipality together with the Cadaster Committee is going to arrange a discussion to specify the borders of the detached houses and surrounding areas of the residents of Kond quarter and handing them their certificates on property. The second stage of the open international competition for the concept of reconstruction of the quarter will be announced. During the regular working meeting Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan instructed to keep the process under constant control. He pointed out that the program is one of priority tasks of the Municipality, and the community must ensure the protection of the rights of Kond residents which means registration of their right of property within the borders they had been using for years so that later, when fulfilling construction program they would have no problem with developers, alienators, there would be no issues related to violation of rights.

The activities stipulated by the 2nd and 3rd stages of designing “Ajapnyak” metro station are going on at the same time. The competition for designing the construction of a new station near Surmalu will be announced soon as well.

Overhauling of the Yerevan Shengavit Complex Sports School has made it possible to solve problems rooted for decades. Due to the program convenient conditions have been provided in the sport school. Besides overhauling the area of approximately 6500 sq/m, actions are being taken to renovate the swimming pool located in the area of the school.

Within the scope of the community-private sector cooperation, the former school of figure skating will be renovated as well. After the renovation it will be called “The Sport School of Higher Mastership for Single Combat Sports in Yerevan” and serve a new platform for preparation for various contests and tournaments.

This year, 14 km of new irrigation system is going to be installed in the city to organize proper care for green zones of the capital.

Within the scope of the annual program of Yerevan Municipality the renovation of “Haghtanak” bridge is going on.  The project involves modernization of external lighting, the cables will be replaced underground, two elevators for wheelchairs will be constructed. The completion of the work is scheduled for late August. Tigran Avinyan also observed the program of “Kievyan” bridge renovation.

Besides 15 electric buses already purchased by the community, 15 more ones will be obtained. Totally, the problem of overground electric transport will be solved by 76%.

It is planned to lay a new forest zone of 200 hectares in Dalma Gardens area.
Tigran Avinyan informed that the community also considers expansion of the areas used by the Zoological Garden within its current surface after studying the plots suitable for it.

The first project to be placed on the “Active Citizen” platform for public discussion is the reconstruction of “Mergelyan” garden. It was reported that there are two packet proposals and the residents are to choose the option they prefer.

The process of filling holes in the capital is going to be completed this week. Vice-Mayor Avinyan instructed to be consistent in any aspect of the work and ensure high-quality and timely fulfillment.
