Program of modernization of external lighting in Ashtarak highway is over

The program of modernization of external lighting network of Ashtarak highway has been completed: sodium-vapour lamps have been replaced with LED lamps. During the regular working meeting it was reported that all cables have been moved to manholes, 125 new pillars have been installed as well.

Construction of external lighting network has been completed in 25 streets and yard areas in Arabkir administrative district. The street lighting of Shoghakat park in Shengavit district has been reconstructed and modernized.

To develop workout sport style in Yerevan special sport equipment is being constructed in administrative districts. The process is under development in Davtashen and Arabkir districts.

In accordance with the government decision, powerful ventilators for tunnels in the Underground and spare parts for other machinery are to be purchased. It was reported that the aim of the process is to ensure safety of passengers and to improve further work of the Underground taking into account the strategic and security significance of the subway.

The number of special interceptors at the Hrazdan river will be increased to maintain proper clean up of Yerevan Lake.

To regulate the heavy traffic of the capital Yerevan Municipality in teamwork with the Road Police has planned certain solutions. Changes in the traffic organization have been made in some areas of the city.

Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan instructed the persons in charge to keep income collection at focus. Attaching particular importance to proper organization of the process the Mayor stressed that to fulfill all programs outlined in the capital it is highly important to ensure high performance of income collection.

It was reported that the vehicles of the “Ambulance” service will be provided with winter tires. The Mayor suggested sending the tires which are of no further use to the border zone via the Department of Conscription and Civil Defence.
