“In addition to paperwork policlinics should provide proper services”: Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan

Restoration of the collapsed road segment of Tsitsernakaberd highway has started. During the regular working conference Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan was reported that the collapsed segment will be fully reconstructed and reinforced. All underground communication lines and the drainage system will be restored as well. An agreement was reached to organize the work in three shifts, including night hours so that the road can be opened as soon as possible.

Road marking is in process in the city. The work is arranged via special machinery. It should be noted that the process has been delegated to the community since April 1. The process of painting the concrete headwalls of “New Jersey” type will start in parallel.

A number of streets of Yerevan are going to be safer for pedestrians. About 60 traffic lights with pedestrian control button will be installed this year.

To prevent the pollution of Yerevan Lake a special interceptor barrier is to be installed on the Hrazdan river.

Regarding the international loan programs it was reported that the construction of Argavand-Shirak road segment got its final stage. The opening of this road is scheduled for June 4. It includes the construction of the 5th largest bridge of Yerevan: the length of the bridge is 252m and the width is 28 m.

Within the frames of the Energy Efficiency Program of Yerevan 13 preschools of the 15 anticipated ones are being renovated. One of them is going to open in a few days.
Currently, negotiations are going on with the European Investment Bank in the direction of involvement of policlinics in the second stage of the program. Attaching importance to ensuring convenient conditions in policlinics the Mayor noted that today the community has initiated the process of reformation.
“We have started changes in policlinics. It is highly important to provide proper conditions in the premises. Moreover, besides doing paperwork policlinics should provide proper services. Some policlinics are in relatively good conditions but there are a number of them that need improvement of premises”, stressed the Mayor.
