A 2,484 sq. m area, primarily in public parks, returned to the Yerevan Community: City Council Holds Regular Session

07.05.2026

During its regular session held today, the Council of the Elders of Yerevan approved a draft decision regarding major repairs to sewer networks at 25 locations across the capital, as well as the construction of two new sewer systems and two new stormwater drainage networks.
Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that all problematic parts of Yerevan’s sewer infrastructure have been identified and inventoried. According to the Mayor, if the current pace of work is maintained, the city’s main sewage issues can be resolved over the next five to six years.
The Mayor also emphasized that, although sewer infrastructure management is not the community’s function, the city authorities, in cooperation with government partners, have launched various programs to address the existing challenges.

By another decision adopted during the session, properties with a cadastral value of 112 million 635 thousand AMD, covering an area of 2,484 square meters (mainly located in public parks), were returned to the Yerevan community.
According to the agreement, ownership rights to properties located at 23/1 Nalbandyan Street, 7 Isahakyan Street, as well as 3/3, 3/4, and 3/5 Isahakyan Street, were transferred back to the community as a donation.
Within the framework of a public-private partnership, recreational areas will be developed in place of the existing structures, and the sites will once again be available for public use.
