During the press-conference the Managing Director of “Gehl Architects” Henriette Wamberg and the Director Team Lead Ola Gustafsson presented their approaches in city planning of Yerevan. Yerevan chief Architect Tigran Barseghyan, Yerevan Mayor’s Advisor Vahagn Vermishyan and the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of External Design and Advertising Araz Baghdasaryan took part in the press-conference too.
Henriette Wamberg and Ola Gustafsson informed that they had arrived in Yerevan to study on the spot the possibilities of creating comfortable urban environment in Yerevan and to make up the guideline in which all the criteria will be described.
The Managing Director of “Gehl Architects” Henriette Wamberg said that Yerevan has a big potential for starting the work as the climate is favourable and the city is green.
After the press-conference Danish specialists delivered a lecture on the theme “Cities for people”.
it should be noted that “Gehl Architcts” founded by Ian Gehl made up guidelines for city environment for San-Francisco, New-York, Copenhagen, Moscow and more than 20 other large cities worldwide.
