Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan’s Address on Declaration of State of Emergency

16.03.2020

Dear Yerevanians, dear compatriots,

You are already aware that the State of Emergency over coronavirus has been declared in the Republic of Armenia.
In accordance with that decision, a number of restrictions have to b set in our country. I’d like to inform that we, the Municipality of Yerevan and all municipal structures, will go on working, doing our duties and fulfilling our citizens’ needs.
During this period we gave our elderly employees and all those with chronic diseases to work from home in online format. We have also restricted the “One Window” service and I’d like to ask you to visit “One Window” only if it s badly needed and to send the requests and applications referred to the Municipality online to http://arcanc.yerevan.am/am/fast-app/ and you will get the answers via e-mail. Besides, I’d like to inform that within this period we stop residents’ receptions at the Municipality and administrative districts.

Dear Yerevanians,

In this important period I appeal to you to show high civic consciousness, stay alert, to keep rules of hygiene, to maximally restrict movement about the city and contacts with other people, to postpone or cancel celebrations or other mass events. If the meetings and gatherings are impossible to be postponed, please hold them at home. Please, don’t go to other cities, and meet the requirements set by the State of Emergency regime. The requirements are available on the Internet including the official website yerevan.am and social media pages of the Municipality.
It is crucial to show special care of elderly relatives and friends helping them do shopping and making it possible for them to leave home as rarely as possible.
And the most important is to keep calm. I am sure, that as always, we will overcome this ordeal taking decisive steps and joining our efforts and will get even stronger afterwards.
Keep healthy! May God protect us!
