Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan welcomed the Vice President of the IBM’s Electronic Design Automation Group, GIT Laureate Doctor Leon Stok who arrived in Armenia to participate in the STARMUS IV Festival of Science and Art. The head of Synopsis Armenia CJSC Hovik Musaelyan took part in the meeting as well. The parties discussed the issues related to using new technology in various spheres of urban economy, installation of the automated system of governance, “Smart City” concept. Mayor Sargsyan stressed that the goal of the community is to use modern technological solutions in handling the problems rooted in the city, to improve the quality of life of townspeople and to increase the effectiveness of the municipality-citizen dialogue.
