Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan goes on his working visits to the administrative districts of the capital to check on the spot the process of implementation of Yerevan Municipality programs provided for 2016.
In Kentron district the Mayor visited the park between Mashtots avenue and Saryan street which are a part of Main avenue. This park is being reconstructed within the frames of cooperation between the Municipality and private sector. Complex improvement is being carried out in this area of 2.5 hectares.
Presenting the Mayor the details of the program the persons in charge noted that the recreation zone will be provided with a new system of irrigation and lighting, new benches and dustbins will be placed. In accordance with the project, an amphitheater will be constructed in the park for the organization of various events in the area; the green zone will be expanded by 2000 sq m. A new approach to the construction of the fountain complex will be applied within the scope of the program.
“From year to year the cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and private sector is becoming more and more active and various projects are being implemented within the scope of this cooperation. We welcome the implementation of such projects particularly when the private sector invests into public sector. Today the charitable fund “Tashir” is carrying out the reconstruction of the park of Main avenue located between Mashtots avenue and Saryan street, as a result of which all the conditions necessary for full recreation will be provided here. It should be noted that within the frames of the program the green areas of the park will be expanded. A fountaincomplex will be constructed too. I am sure that the result will please everybody”, said the Mayor.
Accompanied by the head of the district Mayor Taron Margaryan also visited the area of “Vernissage” located in a segment of Main avenue, watched the process of reconstruction, modernization and improvement program. The persons in charge informed that currently the trade pavilions are being installed. Mayor Taron Margaryan assigned the persons in charge to set rigid control over the quality of the work and to finish it as scheduled.
Within the frames of Municipality-private sectоr cooperation, in parallel with the regulation of the activity of almost 2000 entrepreneurs, all comfortable conditions will be provided for tourists, for the organization of appropriate leisure and entertainment. It should be noted that after finishing the reconstruction of “Vernissаge” only special craft goods will be sold here and the second-hand goods will be sold only in the area adjacent to “Hrazdan” stadium.
During the visit the Mayor also familiarized himself with the program of overhauling of the music school after Alexander Spendiaryan. Within the frames of the program all comfortable conditions will be provided for 950 pupils of the school. Expressing gratitude to Taron Margaryan for consistent attention to the cultural centers the headmaster of the school noted that the program is very important from the point of view of national culture protection and upbringing of the generation appreciating it. The Mayor assured that the program will be long-term and in a few years comfortable conditions will be provided in all educational and cultural centers of the capital.
